Wink Wink Ink NEW Holiday Releases!

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new release at Wink Wink Ink!  You are going to LOVE these new images, I'm telling you!

I used the digital set call Snowbody for my card.  Oh, what a cutie patootie he is!  Love it!  I used the pre-colored image since it was already perfect for my DP...I couldn't have colored it better anyway!  I added the snowflakes behind/around him before I printed it out (they are included too!).  I sponged some ink at the bottom to make a snowy scene and added Stickles to the hills and snowflakes.  It is SO sparkly IRL!  The DP is by 3 Bugs in a Rug, PTI ribbon, nesties, Copics (coloring the little snowflakes), buttons from stash, card stock by Bazzill, pop dots and Stickles.

This set and 2 others are available today!  Be sure to head over to the WWI STORE right now to pick yours up!  :O)

Wink Wink Ink has new Design Team Members!  Check out the blog to see who made it on the team!  Congrats to all of the new girls!  Huggies!!!

Anita Be Stampin Preview Day 2!

Good morning everyone!  Here we are again with day 2 of sneak peeks for Anita Be Stampin...scoot on over to Anita's Blog to see her creations as soon as you're done here!  Did everyone enjoy yesterday's little peek?  I'm telling you...you are gonna LOVE these stamps, whether digital or rubber!

Today's first 2 peeks are digital images called Bling Ring (pg 1) & Of Course I "Willa" (pg 2)...too cute, right?  As soon as I saw these images I knew right away what I was going to do.  I have yet to scrap my 29th Birthday Party that ended up being my engagement party...  Check out the photo of my cake in this layout...it's inside the ring.  Sneaky, sneaky!  I digitally colored both images in Photoshop for both my layouts.

The next sneak peek is a rubber stamp and is called Rosie Shops.  You have to love a stamp set that gives you a reason to make a card for a girlfriend inviting her to go shopping!  *grin*

Check back again tomorrow for our 3rd day of previews!  Woohoo!  Don't forget to stop by our PCP Group on Saturday, October 2nd for our Grand Opening Celebration!  Thanks for visiting me today!

A Special Birthday Card & a Free WMS Digi Image on World Card Making Day!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge over on Split Coast several weeks ago.

Each week Cindy offers a destination for our cards should we choose to participate. Someone who needs a lift or in this case has a really special birthday coming up. This particular week we made cards for Eula who celebrated her 108th birthday on 9/14/10! She is known for her flower gardens so I made flowers the theme of my card. The dress by Lockhart Stamps has roses and daisies on it.

After her birthday - the stamper who let Cindy (Mothermark) know about Eula, sent Cindy this picture of Eula along with just some of the cards she received. (can you see mine on the top center of the bulletin board!?) This lady reads 2 books a month, knits afghans for patients, and takes classes at the assisted living place where she lives. She knows how important it is to exercise your mind! She was just thrilled with all of her cards - and was most interested in learning about blogs and blogging!

What a wonderful reason to make a card - days like these make me proud to be a card stamper!!
Fun alert!: most of you probably know that this Saturday is World Card Making Day - To celebrate - Claire over at Waltzingmouse will be offering a free digi image on that day and will be holding a competition to win a free stamp set of choice. You'll find all the details on the Waltzingmouse Blog on Saturday!

And, of course, we're still having the WMS Saturday Sketch challenge as well! Lot's of excitement going on! See you then!!

Stamps: Dress Roses & Daisies - Lockhart Stamps, Victorian Alphabet - Waltzingmouse Stamps

The first one I have here is a digital stamp called Soon to "Bree" a Mama!  What a cuter than cute preggers!  I love her grin as she rubs her belly!  Bree is so much fun to color!  :O)

Next up is a cling mounted rubbah stamp!  This one is called Rosie's Sweets...would you just look at those eyes?  What a SWEETIE!

Sweet Snowman!

***This is my 2nd post today...please scroll down to check out my The Digi Shack post!***

Good morning again and Happy Hump Day to all!  Time is really flying by, isn't it?  We're almost into October, which happens to be my birth month!  It's time for another Wild Flower Wednesday at The Wild Flower Patch!  Today's challenge is to use a GLASS EFFECT.

I used the Snowman image for my card today...you can get yours for just $3.00!  I do love snowmen and this one is the cutest!  I tried my hand at the Cracked Glass Technique for the challenge today.  It didn't come out quite like I expected.  When I inked it I wasn't getting any ink into the cracks.  I decided I must need to bend it along the cracks I made and ink it that way...not the best idea either!  LOL!  Oh well, I guess it still looks alright.  I used some paper from My Mind's Eye stack...I love all this paper!  So yummy!  Card stock and brads from stash, TH distress ink, ribbon from e-Bay seller, Copics, nesties, UTEE, heat gun.

Check out the rest of the amazing DT to see what kind of inspiration you can get...links are on my sidebar!

I'm Going Batty!

Good morning, bleeps!  It's true...I AM going batty!  I am totally swamped with DT stuff, football games and now my dear son getting in trouble at school!  UGH!  Dare I say I am the mother of a teenager...now I know it to be true!  He talking to one of his friends during his Mass Media class yesterday - during a test - and he got a ZERO!  This is after last week's lunch incident where he got a detention.  I had to ground him and I feel bad about it, but he has to learn some way, right?  He never gets in trouble either, so this has been something else I never had to deal with.  GRRRRR!  Teenagers!

So today it's time for another Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack.  Toni has been totally swamped too, so you should be getting last week's AND this week's showdown on the blog today!  Double the fun!  Woot!  Today I used the cutest bat image from Brian Lock (Brian also plays with clay...check out my blog candy post HERE to see one of his adorable clay figures...it could be yours).  I used some DP from My Mind's Eye, nesties, Copics, card stock from stash, CTMH black ink, Inkadinkado spider images, ribbon from Wal-Mart.

Here is a shot with the card closed.
And one opened...
And a closeup of the googly-eyed bat suspended in front of the hole.

Check out what the rest of the team has done for you today...links are on my sidebar!

Thanks for Being There

Hello my blogging friends! My card today was made for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge over on Split Coast. It's all about flowery teapots and summer, circles, bling and punched edges... you can see the whole story here.

I used the Taylored Expressions sketch TESC129. I turned it on it's side.

The teapartiers can elect to team up with Carolyn King (Cammie) and her Heart to Heart Card Drive for Alzheimers Care Givers. This card will be going to one of the caregivers listed in the teaparty forum.

You can read about Cammie's project on her blog here. Check it out - there is a BIG prize to be won by someone who links a card they are sending to an Alzheimer's Caregiver.

My stamps are Waltzingmouse - the flowers & leaves are from Rescue Remedies and the sentiment is from Rescue Remedies Additions.

Sponged Weeds

Morning Stamping Friends!
My card today was inspired by the Split Coast Featured Stamper, Sallie's (hobbydujour), fall foliage card . I remember seeing it during the inspiration challenge that she created it for and loving the look of it.
I used different stamps and colors, and used a textured Bazzill CS rather than scoring the border. I also added wrinkled ribbon instead of rhinestones.
First I inked the stamps with Versamark, then the color (Old Paper & Memento Tuxedo Black) then I clear embossed them and finally sponged over them.
My stamps are 3 different weeds from Rubbernecker
I really like how this came out and I'll be trying this technique again for sure!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Today is my son's 33rd birthday - boy am I getting old!... either that or he's just catching up to me!! LOL!
Stamps: Rubbernecker - Weeds #497-08, #497-11, #497-14
Paper: white - PTI, black - SU, green Bazzill
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress - Old Paper, Crushed Olive, Stormy Sky, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmelade, Versamark
Accessories: hot gun, clear embossing powder, white gel pen, ink applicator Inkssentials Ranger, foam dimensionals, wrinkled seam tape - www.PrairieBirdBoutique.etsy.com

Unscripted Birthday Wishes

Good morning, bleeps!  No, I didn't just call you an expletive...that's blog+peeps!  I saw someone use that on another blog the other day and thought it was cute.  :O)  It's time for another round of Unscripted Sketches!

This week's sketch was a lot of fun and the other DT members really knocked it out of the park!  I used a couple of the images from the Birthday Necessities set by Wink Wink Ink.  I altered the cake and icing to just one tier and added  the number 1 for this card.  It was for my cutest little great nephew's birthday.  :O)  I used DP from Fancy Pants Designs, brads from stash, Copics, PTI sentiment, nesties, pop-dots, scissors, TH distress ink in Brushed Corduroy, Doodlebug glitter.
Check out the rest of the creations from my awesome DT sistahs for more inspiration!  You won't be sorry!

Waltzingmouse Saturday Sketch WMSC16 - Fall Blessings

Wow - It's Saturday again dear friends - did this week go by fast for you?!? And lookie here's the great sketch Claire has for us today!

Instead of making 3 panels - I stamped one plaid panel using a stamp from Off Beat Backgrounds. My sentiment is from Peace and Plenty and I cut it using Labels Nine Nestabilities. The leaf is from Blessed by You. I stamped it in Rusty Hinge, cut it out and added Orange Peel Stickles to make it sparkle! The sentiment and leaf are both up on foam dimensionals. Then I just added some rhinestones to draw your eye around the card! Oh - and I sponged the plaid panel and sentiment with Peeled Paint.
So now you need to check out the WMS Sketch Blog and get inspired by the cards the Mischief Makers and other DT members have created this week!

Then make your own card using the sketch and link it on the Sketch Blog by Thursday 9/30/10 at 11:59 pm EST - you could be chosen Top Mouse next week!! Sometimes Claire offers little random winner prizes too - you never know!
We've been seeing lots of wonderful sketch cards - hope to see yours there this week - come on - inspire us!!! Did I inspire you today????
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - (plaid) Off Beat Backgrounds, (leaf) Blessed by You, (Fall Blessings) Peace and Plenty.

You Make the Grade

Happy Friday dear friends!! Isn't it great to have the weekend ahead of us?!
I'm so excited to finally be using my MFT Pure Innocence school girl. I have 5 different Pure Innocence stamps and this is the first one I've inked up! - what's with that??!!

I made my card today for 2 challenges - the Free 4 All Friday over at Split Coast that was to use scallops and the Shabby Tearoom challenge where we were to be inspired by this picture.

I paper pieced my little school girl's outfit and embossed the blackboard sentiment with white embossing powder. I colored the rest of the image with Copics. My flower is cut with a PTI flower die and I used a Labels 3 Nestability to cut the image. Everything is sponged with Ranger Distress Tea Dye ink.

Tomorrow Kent and I are going on a boat cruise on the Essex River with the Adult Fellowship Group at my church. It's supposed to be in the 80's and sunny so it should be a wonderful day on the water! Then we're all going to Woodman's, a locally famous seafood restaurant for supper - should I get fried clams or boiled lobster?!?!? or maybe scallops...... baked scrod....... fried shrimp.....????? There's nothing better than fresh seafood from New England! Yum!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Saturday Waltzingmouse Sketch card - hope to see you then!

Good afternoon folks!  That's right, I said FREEBIE!  Woohoo!  To celebrate the opening of the Anita Be Stampin Store on October 2nd, we have now opened our own PCP GROUP!  Hop on over and request to join so you won't miss out on ANY of the fun!  While you're there don't forget to grab your FREE DIGI IMAGE!

We will celebrating our first day open for business, October 2nd,  on the ABS Papercraft Planet Group too.  Stop by for opportunities to have fun with us and win prizes throughout the day!  We'll be there to chat it up with you from 7:00-9:00PM CST!  Be there or be square!!!

I used the ABS freebie called Follow Me to make this card and am entering it into this week's Flutterby Wednesday.  I decided to make her all Christmasy...I do believe she looks good that way!  :O)  Before I realized what I had done I managed to cover up almost all of the very pretty Basic Grey DP that runs down the middle of the card.  Bah!  I used Holographic embossing powder on her wings and took a different photo so you can see the subtle shimmer...

Head on over to Anita's Blog to check out her creation too!  I'll see you soon at the Anita Be Stampin PCP Group!

Such a Tease!

Hello! How are my crafty friends today? I just wanted to drop by and tease you with a little sneak peek of an image that will be released as part of a rubber stamp set at Anita Be Stampin on October 2nd.

Hmmm....what (or who) could this be? Leave a comment at ANITA'S BLOG POST with your guess and you could be the lucky winner of this rubber stamp set...woot woot! :O) A winner will be announced on the first ever Anita Be Stampin release day, Saturday, October 2nd. Good luck!

Three from Split Coast

Happy Thursday dear stamping friends - the weekends coming!! I have three cards from SCS challenges to share with you today.
This week's CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge was to use Fall Colors - Kraft, red, vanilla and brown (orange optional).

I colored my stamp with Stampin Up markers, stamped it and then sponged a little orange over the forest floor. I used my Nestability circles to cut the image as well as a brown and red framing. I sponged everything with Tea Dye Ink and added a brown button!

My stamp is Birch Forest from Rubbernecker Stamps the card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4 ".

Stamps: Rubbernecker - Trees, Birch Forest 66-01
Paper: Kraft, Vintage Cream - PTI, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red - SU
Ink: pumpkin pie - SU, Ranger Distress Tea Dye
Accessories: SU Markers - Ruby Red, close to cocoa, sponge, circles Nestabilities, glue dot, VIntage Button & Silk ribbon- PTI

I was honored when Betty asked me to make a card sample for her color challenge on SCS this week. The challenge colors were Cajun Craze, Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi (SU) I didn't have Cajun Craze so I used Rusty Hinge Ranger Distress Ink for that color.

I stamped my trees on white, cut the panel with Labels Nine Nestabilities, then sponged over the trees with Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi before taking it out of the die.

Betty always includes a dessert option with her challenge - something extra to do on your card if you want to - this week it was to use chicklets (single squares of letters making up a sentiment) or strip sentiments. I stamped Happy Thanksgiving, then cut it in half and mounted it separately.

My stamps are from the set called Teeny Trees by Waltzingmouse Stamps

Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Teeny Trees
Paper: White, Text Style Green Boutique - PTI
Ink: Ranger Distress Rusty Hinge, Baja Breeze & Wild Wasabi - SU, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Blue dots, foam dimensionals, vintage button and silk ribbon - PTI, Nestabilities Labels Nine, ink applicator Inkssentials Ranger

And finaly, for this week's teaparty we're heading off to California - to have tea with BertLady and her two cats who recently moved there - you can read the whole story here

As soon as I saw the two kitties on Cindy's inspiration teapot - I thought of this great picture of my own two cats - Scout and Boo (named after characters in To Kill a Mockingbird) Boo is the one in back and Scout is in front (they were actually sitting like this on our diningroom table when I took this pic!!) Don't they look like they have little smiles on their faces?? They are letting BertLady's cats know they will be missed! The sentiment is from Free Spirit Sentiments by Waltzingmouse.

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Free Spirit Sentiments
Paper: white, Hawaiian Shore - PTI, DP October Afternoon the thrift Shop/Still in the Box
Ink: Ranger Distress - Chipped Sapphire, Soft Sky - SU
Accessories: labels trio Spellbinders, Circle Nestabilities, photo, Martha Steward Lacey punch & bird punch, home made cloud template, sponge.

Thanks for coming by today! Hope to see you back here on Saturday for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch - AND I hope you'll play along this week!

Time for a Sketch at the Wild Flower Patch!

Happy Hump Day all!  I hope your week is going well...mine has been SO BUSY!  I'm hoping to be able to sit down and knock out some of my design team projects for next week...keep your fingers crossed for me!  LOL!

Today the next challenge for Wild Flower Wednesday at The Wild Flower Patch is up.  This time it's a sketch by our wonderful leader, Jen Shults!  Come on over and play along...we'd love to see you use a WFP stamp, but you can use any image you'd like!  :O)

Today I used Holly Fairy Daisy...she's a little doll!  She was released last week, so if you missed her (and a few of her friends), be sure to get over to the shop and pick yours up today...she's just $3.00!

OK, I used the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP again...I can't seem to help myself!  I never used it last year and I still love it!  I also used Copics, Sakura Stardust pen, Nesties, MS edge punch, ribbon from eBay seller, rhinestones and card stock from stash, pop dots, TH distress ink in Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy.

Check out the other inspiring projects from the Wild Flower Patch Design Team...links are on my sidebar!

Witch Way For Treats?...Edited!

This way, of course!!!  Welcome to another edition of the Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack!  Today's project features another Halloween image.  Simple and easy to use...this witches hat and broom can be used on many projects.  I colored them with my Copics, cut them out and popped them up for dimension on my candy bar slider.  I also added a bit of Sakura Stardust pen to the hat's buckle and the wire on the broom...just a hint of sparkle.  The sentiment is from an Inkadinkado set and the paper is from Making Memories.  Ribbon is probably Offray, but it was in my stash so I'm not 100% sure.

I did make a tutorial for this once...if you would like for me to post it, please just leave a comment and let me know.  :O)  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations...links are on the sidebar!  Have a sweet day!

ETA Tutorial!

1)  Take a piece of 6x6 cardstock and score at ½” and 3 ¼”.  Fold and crease well along these score lines.

2)  Add ½” Sticky Tape to the entire length of the ½” strip and the center section at one end as pictured.

3)  Fold the cardstock up and punch a hole in the center of the top end (NOT the taped end) using a regular sized hole punch.

4)  Open back up and peel off the tape backing and adhere.  Burnish well to ensure strong adhesion.

5)  On the closed end, score 2 lines to create a decorative edge.

6)  Decorate the front of your cover any way you like.

7)  Using approximately 24” of ribbon, thread one end through both holes you previously punched.

8)  Take your chocolate bar and insert it into the holder pushing the ribbon down with it.  Make sure that your ribbon goes in evenly on the front and back.

9)  Tie your ribbon and cut off any excess.

10)  By grabbing the end of the chocolate bar (or the wrapper), you can now slide it in and out freely.  Congratulations!  Your chocolate bar slider is now ready to give to someone special!
