Welcome to the 2nd Day of the Waltzingmouse Stamp of Approval Parade (SOAP)!
I appreciate the lovely comments you left for me yesterday! Today I've chosen to highlignt the wonderful birthday/wedding/anytime you need a cake set Eat Cake!
I'm also entering this in the following challenges:
The Free 4 All challenge on Split coast - to make a CAS card.
The Cas-ual Friday Challenge to create a CAS card 4" x 9" (I don't think I've ever made a card this long!!)
The Play Date Cafe Challenge to use coral, petal pink and antique gold.
I used a Wonky Rectangle Nestability to cut the cake panel (get it- cut the cake?!?!) and a Labels 18 to cut the gold panel behind it. I adhered the cake panel with foam tape to give it a little dimension.
I just love the swag background stamp that comes with this set - I stamped it at the top and bottom of my patterned paper. I colored in the flames with a yellow Sakua Glaze pen but I don't think you can see it in the photo.
Please continue viewing the parade on each of the Design Team blogs listed here to see which stamps they are highlighting today - and I hope you'll stop by again tomorrow for Day 3!

Oh Happy Day!
Hi Stampers! I'm on vacation this week - but at home - so I have extra time to stamp but I'm also out enjoying my time off - shopping, visiting, gardening etc! Kent and I were up in NH visiting friends for two days early this week - the weather was overcast with intermittent rain so we didn't get to go swimming and enjoy outdoors - but we still had a lovely time visiting.
I used this week's Split Coast Sketch for my cute little birthday card today.
This sweet bear is a Sweet 'n Sassy Digital image called Rhubarb's Birthday, the sentiment is from Oh Happy Day - a free set with a minimum order in July. The fun party papers are from the Basic Grey paperpad called Cupcake. Korin has been drawing Rhubarb's for every season and holiday and each one is sweeter than the next!
I double bowed a multicolor piece of wrinkled seam tape around the bottom and added tiny twinkles on the candle flame, the hat and the sentiment for a little shimmer!
Hope to see you back here on Saturday when I'll have my Waltzingmouse Saturday Sketch card up!
Now I'm off to try and clean up some of my craft room (a project on my long list of things to get done while home on vacation!! LOL!!)
Stamps: Sweet 'n Sassy Digital stamp - Rhubarb's Birthday, sentiment from Oh Happy Day stamp set
Paper: white, pure poppy - PTI, blue textured - DCWV, DP Basic Grey paper pad/Cupcake
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: digi image, Copics: Y25, R29, RV02, E44, E35, E31, small oval punch - SU, tiny twinkles - Taylored Expressions, wrinkled seam tape - Prairie Bird Boutique Etsy Shop, corner rounder - EK Success, foam tape

Saturday Waltzingmouse Sketch - A Basket of Balloons!
It's an especially nice Saturday for me - first - I've started a two week vacation - whoo hoo! and second - it's time for the WMS Sketch Challenge!
I was the designer of the sketch again this week - I hope you find it inspiring!
I took a few liberties with my own sketch (!) using sentiments in the center instead of rectangles. My original plan (in my head) was to have 4 baskets along the bottom - but they didn't fit - so this design evolved! My card is 3" x 5 1/2" so it will fit in a regular A2 envelope.
And see my balloons?? they are actually eggs from the Spring Baskets set that I stamped upside down! The string knots are from Bitty Banners - I drew the long strings with a fine marker - the basket and Birthday Wishes are from Bountiful Basket Additions, the Bravo! and Hurrah! are from Fancy Phrases.
I left everything clean and simple - no coloring, bling or ribbon so this could be sent to a guy or a gal!
I hope you will join us by making a card using my sketch this week - you can check it all out at the WMS Sketch Challenge Blog. You could be chosen a top mouse or win a WMS stamp set! Winners are announced on Saturday's along with the new sketch for the week.
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Fancy Phrases, Spring Baskets, Bitty Banners, Bountiful Basket Additions.
Paper: White - PTI, 2 shades of orange Bazzill.
Ink: Memento Potters Clay & Rich Cocoa.
Accessories: large oval punch - SU, foam tape, brown Micron 01 pen.

The Queen and A Bee-Bear Birthday!
Some fun news to share today - I was chosen Queen for the Day over at Split Coast!!! Which means that those who wish to play along choose a card from my SCS gallery to CASE. It's so fun to see what cards people create based on cards you have made! I am very honored to have been chosen.
I made this fun little birthday card based on the SCS sketch this week- just a few rectangular shapes - not a lot of clutter - right up my alley!
I wanted to use this sweet little Rhubarb Bee - a digital image just released Wednesday by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
I rummaged through my patterned papers and found these two bee themed sheets - the thin strip is a honeycomb pattern (can you see it?) and the larger panel is a bee pattern.
I colored Rhubarb to coordinate with the bee on the paper. I cut him out and popped him up on foam tape. I stamped Happy Birthday (from Sweet 'n Sassy Seeing Spots stamp set) directly on the honeycomb paper
I used the orange dew drops because I thought it looked like drops of honey!
isn't he just the most adorable bear?? Korin has designed lots of digital images of him for all the seasons of the year!
Hope to see you again tomorrow when I'll have my card for the Saturday Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!
It's supposed to go up to 100 degrees here in Boston today - I'm glad I'm at work with the central air!!
Stay cool today my dear friends!!
Stamps: Sweet 'n Sassy - Happy Birthday from Seeing Spots set, Rhubarb Bee Digital Image
Paper: white, scarlet jewell - PTI, dotted yellow Bazzill Butter, DP Honeycomb - Deja Views, Bee (no name on paper) from local stamping store
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics - E04, R59, C6, orange dew drops, glue dots, foam tape

Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz - Birthday Wishes
Today I'm participating in the Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz taking place in the WMS forum. The theme this month is birthdays! Check it out here in the Playroom of the Forum.
My card was inspired by this cake from the Split Coast Inspiration Challenge yesterday which was the web site Maggie Austin Cake.
The fold of the card was inspired by Saturday's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to use the Joy Fold for your card.
I stamped the top 3/4s of the cake with Versamark and the bottom piece with dark cocoa ink - then I put white embossing powder on the top pieces and clear embossing powder on the chocolate piece and embossed the cake with my hot gun. Finally, I stamped the cake plate with Versamark and embossed it with silver embossing powder.
The cake panel is tucked under the sentiment circle on my card. When you slip the cake panel out, it opens up to show the inside of the card.
I cut off the bottoms of the circles for the sentiment piece so it was easier to slip the top piece behind it.
The sentiment is adhered with thick form tape just along the bottom edge so the top flap can slip behind it
You'll find the Joy Fold Tutorial on Split Coast Stampers in the forums here.
My stamps are from a fun new set by Waltzingmouse called Eat Cake
Now I'm off to the WMS forum to blog waltz and see all the fun birthday card inspiration! Are you coming?
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Eat Cake
Paper: white, Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise, Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon, DP Modern Homemaker/October Afternoon
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa, Versamark
Accessories: 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 1 3/4" circle punches, flower punch - Carla Craft, Rhinestone stickers - Michaels, white, clear & silver embossing powder, square nestability

Happy Birthday for Sister and Mom
Happy Monday everyone - It was SO HARD getting back to work today. We had just absolutley gorgeous summer weather in Massachusetts this past weekend - I spent a lot of time in my garden weeding and mulching and enjoying the sun and soft breezes!
I was asked by a co-worker last week to make two personalized birthday cards - one for her sister and one for her mother.
I made both cards based on challenges over on Split Coast this past weekend.
When I asked my co-worker what her sister's interests were - she said that she loves clothes shopping - a fashionista! The Inspiration Challenge was to look at the website - Posh Vintage - a lovely shop for clothes and a perfect site to give me ideas for the sister card!
I was inspired by this pretty floral dress.
And here's my card:
I used the dress form die from PTI that I cut in white. Then I cut it again on this pretty origami floral paper and trimmed just the dress part adhering it over the dress form. The sentiment stamps are from Women of Life by Papertrey Ink and the background text is from Waltzingmouse Text It set.
I added layered circle Nestabilities, a bow of wrinkled seam tape and some bling!
Here's what I stamped on the inside of this card - the stamps are from Signature Series Dress Form by PTI and coordinate with the dress form die.
I was happy to see Patter as the Featured Stamper over on Split Coast this week - I 'met' Patter a few years ago when I participated in the monthly SCS His Holy Name challenges that she ran. (you can see the projects I made for that challenge here in my His Holy Name Album in my SCSgallery)
I chose to case Patter's Hi card to create the card for my co-worker's mother who likes the outdoors.
I used different colors and a die cut butterfly but kept her pretty sketch and basic design!
The happy Birthday is from Frame It and Mom is from Roses in Bloom - both Waltzingmouse.
Sister It's Your Day:
Stamps: Text Background from Text It - Waltzingmouse, Sister & it's your day sentiments from Women of Life - Papertrey Ink Inside card: Signature Series - Dress Form - Papertrey Ink
Paper: white, berry sorbet - Papertrey Ink, purple & violet - Coredinations, floral print chiyogami paper - Michaels
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black., inside - Versafine Imperial Purple
Accessories: rhinestones - Kaiser Kraft, tiny twinkles - Taylored Expressions, dress form die - Papertrey Ink, trio labels - Spellbinders, circle Nestabilities, wrinkled seam tape - Prairie Bird Boutique Etsy Shop, foam tape
Happy Birthday Mom:Stamps: Waltzingmouse - happy Birthday from Frame It Set, Mom from Roses in Bloom Set
Paper: white, ocean tides, Text Style Happy Spots - PTI, archaic - Basic Grey, Thrift Shop - October Afternoon
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: gems - Bazzill Basics, wrinkled seam tape - Prairie Bird Boutique Etsy Shop, Butterfly die - Marianne, glue dots

A Silhouette Birthday for a Guy or a Girl!
A quick post from me today - I've come to realize that I can't stay up every night until 11 pm and then get up for work at 5:30 am and not be tired!! So I'm hitting the sheets as soon as I post this. I think I'll read for an hour then shut off the light! All in moderation right?!
I made this card for the Sketch Challenge over on Split Coast. What a great CAS sketch!
My stamps are from Sweet 'n Sassy - the dragonfly and stems are from Serene Silhouette and the sentiment is from the July Release set Seeing Spots.
I chose the stamps I wanted to use first - then the ink color - then went in search of some patterned paper that would work with it. I think these colors would work for either masculine or feminine don't you? The card base is a piece of Washboard Bazzill Basics and it has textured vertical lines that gives a nice subtle dimension to the card.
Ok - I'm off to get into my book - I'm presently reading " The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" by Rebecca Wells - I never saw the movie when it came out but wanted too (probably too busy stamping!) - the book is really good so far so I may look for it on Pay Per View on cable after I finish it!!

Sweet Peek - Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - Seeing Spots
Today I'm excited to be showing you a Sweet Peek at a fun new stamp set from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps July Release. It's called Seeing Spots and for my first card I used the spots that have stars in them!
I think this would make a great masculine card with the colors that I used don't you??
My second card is a thank you card and is a little more feminine using two shades of pink! and these pretty 'design' spots. I punched some of the circles and popped them up on foam tape scattering a little bling around.
I framed them with a Nestability cut square, then layered the squares over a Floral Doily Motif Shapeability and the card base cut with a big scallop Nestability.
You'll find more info and pics of this fun new set as well as links to other Design Team samples, over at the Sweet N Sassy blog.
All of the new sets will be available for purchase on July 1!
Stamps: Sweet 'n Sassy - Seeing Spots
Paper: white, true black, Hibiscus Burst -PTI
Ink: Memento Rose Bud & Angel Pink, Ranger Distress Black Soot.
Accessories: Foam tape, 3/4" circle punch - EK Success, Rhinestones - Kaiser, large gems - Darice (Michaels), Floral Doily Motif Shapeabilities, Big Scallop Circle & square Nestabilities.

WMSC Sketch - Ahoy Matey! and a winner!
It's Saturday - again! and time for the Waltzingmouse Saturday Sketch!! We've got another sweet design from Belinda this week!
I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with this sketch - but finally came up with the following card!
A clean and simple card with lots of empty space at the top! I die cut the waves, layering them on the card with foam tape. I stamped the porthole and face, coloring them with copics and slipped it behind the wave. To finish it off I stamped the little fish on the wave and the sentiment directly on the card!
All the stamps are from the sweet little set called Half Pint Heroes.
So why don't you join us in the sketch challenge this week?!! Check out all the details on the WMS Sketch Blog.
My card also works for the CAS-ual Friday challenge - to have a fun edge on your card - hopefully my waves qualify for that?! and also for the SCS Free 4 All challenge - Stripes!
Now I'm happy to announce the winner of my blog candy from last week's sketch post! My DH picked #17 as the winner and that was Velta!

A Biker, a Dog and a Skateboarder!
I've got three cards to share today - all using Rubbernecker Stamps and all from challenges over at Split Coast.
This first card was made for this weeks Featured Stamper challenge. We got to check out Tami Mayberry's lovely gallery and pick one to CASE.
I chose her Enjoy the Ride card as it reminded me of this dapper on a bike stamp I recently got from Rubbernecker.
When you CASE a card you have to change some things - so I changed the image, the colors and stamped an argyle background instead of scoring lines but kept her theme and basic sketch. The image and sentiment are stamped directly on the patterned paper.
My next two cards were made for the Featured Stamper challenge of a week ago - Stamper Camper (Mary) had so many fun cards in her gallery - I CASED two of them!
I loved the design of her fun Happy Bird-Day card
I used a cute little doggie and dog sentiment from Rubbernecker instead of a bird and I used a brick wall embossing folder instead of swiss dots.
For my last card - I CASED Mary's On the Grow card.
I used a little skateboarder named Billy and sentiment from Rubbernecker instead of the motorbike, different colors and a star instead of a bow!
It's always good to have some kids cards handy in my stash! I didn't have too many kids stamps but with these fun new Rubbernecker kids stamps my supply has grown!
Before I go - I'm so excited and happy to announce that we have added 5 wonderful card stamping artists to the Rubbernecker Design team: Holly McMillen, Jen Cuthbertson, Judy Rozema , Charlene Driggs and Kecia Waters. You're probably very familiar with several of them already! You can see the whole Rubbernecker Design Team listed on my side bar along with links to their blogs.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Remember to check this post for your chance to win a WMS stamp set! You have untill Friday to leave me a comment!
ETA: I was thrilled to find out my card was chosen as Customer Card of the Day over at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog today - you can check it out here!

WMSC52 - 1 Year Anniversary of the Waltzingmouse Sketch!
Today is a special day for the Waltzingmouse Sketch - it turns 1 years old today!! whoo hoo!! Can you believe it?!?! Be sure to read to the bottom of my post to see how you can win a WMS stamp set from me!
To celebrate this special event we're doing something a little bit different today. Each Mischief Maker and Design Team member who is participating in today's sketch challenge has chosen a sketch from the past year and made a card for it.
So you get to pick which sketch you'd like to use from all of those we have chosen!! How fun is that?!?! - you can see the sketch choices and all the details of this special sketch challenge over at the WMS Sketch blog.
Here is the sketch that I chose to use today - Sketch # WMSC16
And here is the card I made using this sketch:
I die cut the banners out of felt with my Nested Lacey Penant Nestabilities. and I used Petite Oval Nestabilities to die cut my sentiment which is from the Say It Loud set. I'm thinking with the dark colors, the felt banners and minimal accessories - this would make a good masculine card, right?!?!
..... and just for fun - I went searching back in my blog to find the card I made when this sketch was originally used on September 25, 2010 and here it is:
And now something fun for you - in honor of the 52nd WMS sketch - I'm offering one lucky person the stamp set I used on my sketch card today - Say it Loud!!
Leave me a comment telling me if you own any WMS stamps (and what's your fav set of those you own or those you want!) You have until Friday 6/24/11 at 11 pm EST to leave your comment - I'll post the randomly chosen winner on Saturday 6/25 with my WMS sketch posting - good luck!
Celebrate Card:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Say it Loud

A Whale of a Good Time - Friend to Friend!
I've got some new Rubbernecker Stamps and couldn't wait to ink some of them up!
I made this card for last weeks sketch challenge over at Split Coast.
I used a cool new background stamp called Crackle Panel behind my little whale. I stamped Mr. Whale on a light gray cardstock and colored him a bit with light blue Copics. I cut him out and layered him over the stamped panel with foam tape. I added some blue gems and applied Glossy Accents to the water 'blow'. I stamped the coordinating sentiment directly on the panel and added some blue gems there as well.
This cool style card was the Wednesday SCS Tutorial last week - it's called a Center Step Card! I just had to try this out!
You can find the tutorial for this fun style card here in the forums of Split Coast. Here's a side view.
I knew this sweet little Hannah image would fit perfectly on the front panel! I stamped the image with Vintage Photo Distress ink and then colored her a little bit with my Copics. I cut the image with a square Nestability and sponged the edges with Antique Linen before taking it out of the die.
The sentiment is cut with a Lacey Square Nestability. The pretty dotted DP is Webster's Pages.
This card was really easy to make - you should try one! It is larger than an A2 card - lying flat it measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" so needs an oversize envelope or to be hand delivered!
Whale Card:
Stamps: Rubbernecker - Crackle Panel #574, Whale #569-05, Sentiment Whale of a Time #568-01
Paper: White, Softstone, Plum Pudding - PTI, DP Cosmo Cricket/Snorkel/Umbrellas, Current, Schools Out
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black + Summer Sky
Accessories: foam tape, Copics: B00, BG10, B41, Glossy Accents - Ranger, self adhesive jewels - Bazzill Basics
Friend to Friend Card:
Stamps: Rubbernecker - Hannah 581-05, Friend to Friend #565-21
Paper: white, vintage cream - PTI, Textured Tan - unknown (like Bazzill) DP Webster's Pages - Petite Papers/Hollywood Vogue + Wonderfall
Ink: Ranger Distress - Vintage Photo + Antique Linen
Accessories: Copics - Y02, BG10, G20, E02, R00, RV02, trio butterfly punch - Martha Stewart, Rectangle + Lacey Square Nestabilities, black pearls - Amuse, wrinkled seam tape, foam tape, glue dots

3 Fish, a Worm and a Butterfly!
I made this card for last Tuesday's Teapot Tuesday challenge at Split Coast -we were to bring along some fish - the more the merrier!!
So I brought three fish with me (aren't these guys hilarious!?) - as well as a very nervous worm on a hook! (well, actually, he is the bait! but don't tell him!)
My stamps are How About Lunch and Luncheon Meat from Rubbernecker
Stamps: Rubbernecker - How about Lunch #86-18, Luncheon Meat - #86-17
Paper: white, true black - PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Weathered wood
Accessories: Silver Spica Pen, foam tape, blending tool & nonstick craft mat - Ranger, Glossy Accents - Ranger, trio labels - Spellbinders, Copics: Y13, Y17, Bo5, BG13, BG18, BG31, YR07, E33
My 2nd card was made for the Featured Stamper challenge at Split Coast, Rosemary (RosiGrld) was the FS and I chose to case her Jewel Butterfly card to case.
I used different stamps and colors and placed my butterfly up higher on my card - inside a Lacey Square Nestability embossed frame still keeping it pretty clean and simple!
These stamps are from the set called Butterflies are Free by Rubbernecker
I hope you can stop by tomorrow - It's the 1st day of the 4 day Waltzingmouse SoAP (Stamp of Approval Parade)! Get ready for some inspiring ways to use the WMS May Release stamp sets you purchased!

Waltzingmouse Saturday Sketch - Colorful Birthday Wishes!
Happy Saturday everyone! WMS has another fun sketch for us this week - designed by our very own Mischief Maker Edna!
I took a little liberty with the sketch and made my label shape the full width of my card to accomodate my images. My card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
The colors and stamps I chose to use were inspired by the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger
The pretty birds are from the Celtic Heritage set and the sentiment, circle and leaves are from Teeny Trees.
Now please waltz over to the WMS Sketch Blog and get inspired by the cards the Mischief Makers and other DT members have created using this week's sketch!
Then make your own card using at least one Waltzingmouse stamp and the sketch and link it on the Sketch Blog by Thursday 6/2/11 at 11:59 pm EST - you could be chosen Top Mouse !!
Winners are announced each Saturday along with the new sketch challenge. And every week one lucky entry will win a free WMS stamp set of choice!!
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Celtic Heritage & Teeny Trees
Paper: Pure Poppy, white, Orange Zest - PTI
Ink:Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Spiced Marmelade, Fired Brick.

Have a Beauty-full Birthday
I was excited to see my good stamping buddy and fellow Paper Doll, Joanne Travis, as Queen for the Day over at Split Coast this week! I cased her pretty CAS Birthday card
I used different colors and stamps and turned the sketch on it's side. I don't have any frame embossing folders like Joanne used on her card (gasp!) so I just embossed my whole card - papers and sentiment - with Swiss Dots ( this technique is called embedded embossing) then added my bird cage with foam dimensionals.
I'm also entering this in the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - Some Royal Fun.
My stamps are from a lovely set called Fly Free from The Craft's Meow. In case you don't know - The Craft's Meow is owned by my good friend Lisa - who was the design team coordinator for Waltzingmouse before she took the plunge to open her own company! I'd love to have you check out her store!
Stamps: The Craft's Meow - Fly Free
Paper: WHite - PTI, DP Kioshi Paper Pad/Basic Grey, Happy Spots Text Style - PTI
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Ranger Distress Victorian Velvet
Accessories: swiss dots embossing folder - Provo Craft, foam dots

Saturday Waltzingmouse Sketch - and a 2 Year Birthday Party!
Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for the Waltzingmouse Sketch but it's also a special day for our Claire and Waltzingmouse Stamps - Waltzingmouse is 2 years old today!! Whoo hoo - so not only is there a sketch but the DT and the Mishcief Makers are all making special birthday cards to celebrate the day!
So here's this week's sketch (which Mischief Maker, Edna designed by the way!)
And here is the Birthday card I created
I used stamps from several Waltzingmouse sets for my card. Bitty Banners, 'Twas the Night before Christmas, Sweet Hearts, Victorian Alphabet and Dainty Doilies large! I doctored up the sentiment - I hand wrote the 's on Guess Who the 2 and ? are from Victorian Alphabet. I stamped the images on Claire's celtic squares digital paper.
And in honor of Waltzingmouse's 2nd Birthday - I made a celebratory cupcake using Claire's new Cuppie Love Template! Just click on the pics to see them larger.
I decorated my cupcake with a pleated ribbon, a banner sentiment tag and I made a metal flower for the top! I found the tutorial for making these wonderful metal flowers over on Split Coast
Here's a top view of the flower - I cut it with Tim Holtz Tattered floral die and embossed two of the layers with Sizzix embosing folder - Cracked, and two of the layers with Provo Craft Swiss Dots embossing folder. The leaves are Sixxix leaf stem.
Now please waltz over to the WMS Sketch Blog and get inspired by the cards the Mischief Makers and other DT members have created using this week's sketch!
Then make your own card using at least one Waltzingmouse stamp and the sketch and link it on the Sketch Blog by Thursday 5/26/11 at 11:59 pm EST - you could be chosen Top Mouse !!
Winners are announced each Saturday along with the new sketch challenge. And every week one lucky entry will win a free WMS stamp set of choice!!
Oh - and if you'd like to congratulate Claire and wish WMS a happy 2nd birthday - waltz on over to her blog here and say hello! She'd love to hear from you!
