Saturday Waltzingmouse Sketch - Halloween Greetings!!
Well - here is the way I went:
I'm definitely in the Halloween mode with the release of Claire's wonderful new sets Cicely at Halloween and Gracie at Halloween. Today I used stamps from the Cicely Set - the sentiment, the bats and the little poem!
I used my Martha Stewart 'drippy' punch on the top panel and on a little panel under the poem (can you see it??)
I embossed the top sentiments with Ranger Distress Antique Linen Embossing Powder and embossed the poem with black. I sponged the poem after die cutting it but before taking it out of the die.
What will you do with this sketch??? Check out all the details on the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog:
Kent and I are spending the day at Merry Meeting Lake in New Durham, NH with a lot of his cousins - an annual event - hopefully we're enjoying the sun and the beautiful lake!

Ahoy Matey - A Witch and a Pirate Ship!
First up is a Halloween card I made for this week's featured stamper - I cased this fun 'boo' card of DaisyFreak's. The stamps are from one of Claire's newly released sets - Cicely at Halloween.
I colored Cicely to coordinate with the fun dots patterned paper behind her and I got to use my fun Martha Stewart Halloween fence punch that I bought last year dirt cheap at the end of the season! There are little bats on the centers of the longer posts that you can't see to well on this pic. I added a little bling to the front of her ankles, hat buckle and wand tip!
My second card was made for the Inspiration Challenge which was the web site Modern Lola. I was inspired by this fun pirate ship.
And here's the card I created. I used a Disney Pirate Ship die from Provo Craft. Die cutting it once in blue and once in white. Then I cut the white sail section (they're all connected) off the white die cut, colored black stripes on the sails and colored the poles brown and adhered them over the blue die cut with foam tape.
The sentiment and star are from Half Pint Heroes. (A great kids card stamp set!)
That's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

August Waltzingmouse SOAP - Day 1 - A Monogramed Pillow + Gracie
For the next 3 days the DT will be sharing with you more ways to use the July Release stamps - Cameo to Go, Cameo Creations, Ovals Classics Frames, Big Day Essentials, Big Day Additions, Eat Cake, You're Lovely, and Flourishes- Scallops and Dots and on August 4th we'll be highlighting an older stamp set Afternoon Tea!
Today I'm parading Cameo to Go
I was looking through the Serena and Lily Summer catalogue and came upon this pretty bed set.
It immediately reminded me of the pretty oval frames in the Cameo to Go Set.
I also used a background stamp from Pic-Nic Patterns and the A is from Victorian Alphabet. I added some tiny green twinkles around the frame. The lacey edge is cut with a Lacey Square Nestability.
Claire has surprised us by releasing 2 wonderful Halloween sets today (Claire LOVES Halloween and she just couldn't wait until the September release!) - if you've been following her blog you have seen the wonderful creations she has made with them over the past week.
Today I also have a card using the new stamp sets - this little witch and the wonderful sentiment are from the Gracie at Halloween set - the moon is from the Cecily at Halloween set.
The sentiment says "When all the world is sleeping and the moon is riding high, If you peep between the curtains you'll see witches flying by." So I framed Gracie as if we were peeping between the curtains!
I hope you'll continue viewing the parade on these Design Team members blogs and please stop by tomorrow for Day 2 of our parade!! And hurry over to the WMS Store to order your Halloween sets!

So - anyhoo - here is a card I made using the Papersmooches set Falling for You to enter into today's contest.
So this could be a Valentine's Day Card with the Batty in Love sentiment - or a Halloween card for your loved one!! LOL!!Wish me luck!?

The Last of the Halloween Treats!
For now - I wanted to share a few of the treat containers I made for Halloween to sell at my church fair this past weekend that I hadn't posted here yet.
Decorating or making containers is one of my most favorite things to do - as you probably know if you come by to visit me at regular intervals!!
I got these cute little jars at JoAnn's for $1.oo each! They are about 2"x1" and I filled them with bat droppings (malted milk balls in this case!)

The stamps are Waltzingmouse - Wanda's Pantry and Midnight Feast.Next - I totally, shamelessly copied these fun little houses from Steph I absolutely loved them when I saw them on her blog. (Thank you Steph!!!)
The template is Claire's and is available free at Waltzingmouse (Claire decorated it as a Gingerbread house). How clever of Steph to see a haunted Halloween house in it!!
I made mine so the bottom opens (didn't glue the tabs) - and I slipped a little bag of candy corn inside. The stamps are from Midnight Feast.
And finally - I got these fun pails at Target last year for $1 each (I almost forgot I had bought them - I had put them in my attic and found them 3 days before the fair!) So I quickly decorated them up!
The stamps are from Wanda's Pantry - the bats are Spellbinders, the ghost is Sizzix, the web ribbon is from Sharon's Stamp Simply Ribbon Shop and the saddle stitched ribbon is PTI. I drew eyes on the bats with a silver marker. (I know - bats don't have eyes - but they look more spooky with them!)
So there you go - are you in the Halloween spirit now?!!! You've still got 2 days to make something!Momento Mori 6 Graveyard - Moxie Fab World
This is the spooky fun Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World. And this is the tag card I was inspired to make after seeing it!
The tree is a Sizzix die, the tombstones are a Martha Stewart punch and the stamps are from Waltzingmouse. The leaves are from Teeny Trees and the sentiment is from Midnight Feast. I sponged everything with Frayed Burlap and the tombstones are popped up on foam dimensionals.A Halloween Party & Wet Paper Stamping!
Happy Hump Day dear friends! I'm working on four challenges with my little pumpkin card today!Paper: pumpkin pie - SU, Smokey Shadow, white - PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress - Rusty Hinge, Stormy Sky
Accessories: Pumpkin and bat nestabilities, sizzix ghost die, blending tool & nonstick craft mat - Ranger, foam dimensionals, rhinestone stickers - Michaels

I made this card using the SCS new technique challenge Joan had for us this week - Wet Paper Stamping! You swipe over watercolor paper with a wet paper towel - stamp an image in a light color - dry the paper - then stamp over the image again using a darker ink. It looks like a shadow!
The image and Crown Oval Nestability framing are so pretty - I didn't need a sentiment - which qualifies my card for the SCS Joan's Hope You Can Cling to challenge - unsentimental.
My stamps are Victorian Damask background and Floral Silhouette both from Rubbernecker.
Thanks for dropping by today!
Just a reminder to check out the Waltzingmouse Sketch on Saturday! and there's a friend's of Waltzingmouse blog waltz coming up on Sunday (check my side bar) - a very busy stamping weekend! Hope to see you there!
Stamps: Rubbernecker - Floral silhouette set #467, Victorian Damask Panel #498
Paper: Watercolor paper pad, vintage cream, elegant Eggplant - PTI

Friends of WMS Blog Waltz - Halloween Theme!
We're having a Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz over in the WMS forum in the Playroom today. You need to sign into the forum but it's easy to do - so go on over and check it out!
The label says - Slyme & Co - Regurgitated Candy - Lightly Salted, Cold Pressed. So I felt it was totally appropriate to include this wonderful, so real looking and feeling, gummy worm as a treat inside!! I stamped my little white bag (Michaels) with the Boo stamp and filled it with Candy Corn.
Both treats tuck neatly inside my little box. I think I could get one more worm in there if I squished it! LOL!!! Don't worry - each worm is actually hermetically sealed inside a clear wrapper so you don't have to touch them to get them into the box!
Here's a second one done in a different color DP and I used the inverted scallop square Nestability to frame the sentiment - it looks a little more spooky than the regular scallop Nestibility frame I used on the green one don't you think?!
And here's how I dressed up the back of the boxes. Oh-oh, I think the gummy worm is on the move! Watch out!!!
Remember to look for the word clues on the DT's posts to help you guess the theme of one of the WMS October release sets! Post your answer over in the Playroom of the WMS Forum for your chance to win a WMS stamp set!Inspired by Votives

All my stamps are from Waltzingmouse The stamped panels started out white and I sponged them with Ranger Inks - the only addition is the fence punched panel on the orange one.
After I made these cards, Kent and I went for a walk over at Lynn Beach. It was a gorgeous sunny but cool day. Lynn is a city right next to our town that just happens to be situated on the Atlantic Ocean - so we drive through congested houses, factories and traffic and come to this lovely beach! It's pretty crowded in the heat of the summer but this time of year there are mostly 'walkers'! We parked at one end of the beach and walked down the beach for 25 minutes on this paved sidewalk.
On our way back - we walked on the hard packed sand left as the tide goes out. (I had turned to take this pic of where we were coming from that's why the ocean is still on our right!)
And looking across the beach road to the south - we can see the Boston Skyline! We're just 12 miles north of Boston (as the crow flies that is! - it takes me 40 minutes to commute in there to work on the subway - longer during rush hour!)
We probably won't have many more of these lovely evenings at the beach - fall's a comin'!Stamps: Waltzingmouse: Midnight Feast & Halloween Party
Paper: white - PTI, Black - SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress - Spiced Marmelade, Mustard Seed, Dusty Concord
Accessories: fence punch - Martha Stewart, Eclipse Tape, Scor Tape, Ink applicator Ranger
Is It Tea Time or Halloween??!
First up - for the Inspiration Challenge - Guest Hostess Anne had a great web store - Elizabeth Embellishments - to inspire us this week (thanks Anne!) I was inspired by this pretty Bird Table Clock
I've been wanting to use this fun cuckoo clock from Rubbernecker Stamps and thought here was the perfect opportunity! I added a Spellbinders bird (used the smallest bird as the wing!) and a sentiment from the Rubbernecker Tea Time Set #457. My card is 6"x6"Paper: rustic white - unknown, dark chocolate, Library ledger, green boutique - PTI, baja breeze - SU
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Ranger Distress Tea Dye
Accessories: small oval punch - SU, spellbinders bird, brad - Basic Grey, foam dimensionals, sponge and applicator - Inkssentials Ranger
My second card was made CASEing a card by Stampingout (Emily) who was the featured stamper. I have been in her gallery a lot as she participates in many of the same weekly challenges that I do. Paper: Kraft - PTI
Ink: Ranger Distress Tea Dye
Accessories: Cosmo Cricket Rub On's - Haunted, sponge & applicator Inkssentials Ranger, paper piercer
What do you do with this.........
Why - you take one apart - make a template and decorate it with Halloween papers........
and fun Halloween images and sentiments from Midnight Feast by Waltzingmouse! Isn't that obvious???!
These fun Ben & Jerry's ice creams are little 1/2 cup servings that I found at Stop and Shop on sale for $1.00 each - the regular kinds of ice cream were pretty high in calories (with all that yummy cream and sugar!) but most of what I bought was Fro Yo (Frozen Yogurt) which was pretty low in fat and calories and really Yum (can anything called chocolate fudge brownie be bad?!)Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge & The Free Template Challenge
I have two projects to share with you today - My Saturday Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge card and a project using one of Claire's free templates (see the challenge here). First - the sketch - this one is fun and easy don't you think!?
For some reason, as soon as I saw the big circle I thought of this wonderful Winnie the Witch stamp from last year's WMS set Halloween Party!
I stamped two other images from this set for the small circles. I embossed the card with the spider web embossing folder and painted over it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist/Icicle (which I just got in the mail and used without really knowing what to do with it!?!) It gives the whole background a 'glimmer'!

Thanks for stopping by today! What's up for your weekend?
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Halloween Party, Midnight Feast, Off Beat Backgrounds.
Paper: Vintage Cream, Plum Pudding - PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Ink - Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey
Accessories - Labels 13 Nestabilities, basket shred, gummy spider - Oriental Trading, Scor Tape, foam dimensionals.
Waltzingmouse DT Blog Waltz - New Release!
I recycled a plastic jar of Dole Fruit for my container. The top band (to cover the word 'Dole' imprinted in the bottle) is stamped with the fripperie bg stamp from last month's release - Victorian Fripperie. I stamped the label and the panel in black on white card stock and sponged the edges with Barn Door and Tea Dye distress inks. I used the drip punch for the cover's edge. (I'm so glad I bought that punch last year on sale after season!)
For the top of the cover - I used the circle frame stamp and a sentiment, again from Victorian Fripperie - they go so well with these new Halloween sets! I stamped the little newt beneath the sentiment, added tiny gems and sponged the edges.
On the back I used two of the sentiments from Midnight Feast and 'Oh My' from Victorian Fripperie.
And finally - I just couldn't end the Sneaks without making at least ONE card!
Thanks SO much for sticking with me through the sneak peeks this week!! I hope you have as much fun as I did!
WMS Sneak Peek Day 3 - Treacherous Treats!
Caution - if the fingers on Saturday bothered you - these treats may have the same effect!!!
Today I bring you Fresh Plucked Eyeballs!
I found this wonderful oval shaped ribbed jar at Joanne's Fabrics (just $1.00!) These treats are really gum balls (does that make you able to look at them now?!? LOL!)
The Martha Stewart drip edge punch is just perfect for around the cover don't you think?!? I used Fancy Tag Nestabilities under my jar label stamping. Here's the back of my treat jar. The SU large oval punch fits perfectly inside the oval ridge in the jar.
WMS Sneak Peek Day 2 - Bat Droppings
Today I've created another treat container - a little tamer than yesterday's fingers (so many people commented they were grossed out by them!!) Today - I bring you Bat Droppings!!! LOL!!
I found this wonderful 7"tall bottle at Michaels (just $1.00!) but the neck was SO narrow I had trouble finding candy that would fit inside - I tried M&M's first, then jelly beans, and finally found Sugar Babies would fit! Phew! and they had the added benefit of looking like Bat Droppings! Yipee!! (although Claire's purple droppings on her project yesterday looked really cool!!!)
