Three Sweet 'n Sassy for Summer!

Here are 3  summertime cards I've made this past week for various Split Coast Challenges.  All of them are made with stamps or digital images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

My first card was made for last week's color challenge - Peggy gave us a monochromatic pallet of pinks -  Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Regal Rose.  I didn't have all the SU colors so I improvised using 3 shades of pink that I had!

I paper pieced the shells, cutting them out and popping them up on the sentiment circle with foam tape.   The stamps are from Beauty by the Sea.

My second card was made for Sunday's Featured stamper who was StamperCamper. I loved the wonderful coloring on the sun on her Sail Away card .  I used a lighthouse instead of a sailboat and added the sentiment and rhinestones on my card.

And finally - I made this beach card for the SCS sketch challenge - which Korin - owner of Sweet n' Sassy Stamps - hosted this week.

I colored the image with Copics, cut it out a little outside the edges and adhered it to the patterned paper panel with foam tape.

The sweet little mice building the sandcastle is a digi image called Cocoa and Cookie's Sand Castle and the sentiment is from the Beauty by the Sea stamp set.
I suddenly feel like taking a drive to the ocean and smelling that sweet salt air -  do you??!!!

I'm lucky enough to live about 5 miles away from the Atlantic Ocean on the northeast coast of the USA so I could hop in my car and go! -  well - if I'm not at work or stamping that is.... !!

He has made Everything Beautiful!

I made this pretty flowered card for 3 challenges -   the Tuesday Teapot Challenge on Split Coast was to bring flowers to the party -  so I made this lovely layered flower using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.  I'm sending this card to Lindsay - along with all the pieces to make another card just like it so Lindsay will have something to help keep her busy while she's having some medical treatments -  you can read all about it at SCS in the forum.

I used the JUGS#87 Sketch for the design of my card

and I used only a sentiment -  no other stamps - for the Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge.  I used this lovely Bible verse from the Scripture 1 Collection.  I thought it complimented my flower nicely!

Thanks for coming by today!

Let the Heaven and Earth Praise Him!

As part of the Design Team for SNSS - Today is my day to post to the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog -  and this is the card I've posted over there.
The stamps are from the June Release set called Beauty by the Sea which is a set of lovely sea shells and sentiments including this lovely Psalm

I stamped the sentiment on white card stock, cut it with a Fancy Tags 2 by Spellbinders, sponged the edges before removing it from the die and adhered it to the card using foam tape.

I stamped the shells and starfish on the same dotted Bazzill as the panel, cut them out and adhered them also with foam tape.

I added some black pearls to the starfish and tag to finish it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I really appreciate it!

Stamps:  Sweet n' Sassy Stamps - Beauty by the Sea.
Paper:  White, true black -PTI, Bazzill dotted tan

When You're Down And Troubled - and You Need Some Loving Care......

The Way's to Use It challenge over on Split Coast yesterday was to use music in some form on your card. So I started my music theme card with this music sheet patterned paper.

Then when I decided to use this wonderful sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - all I could think of was the Carole King song "You've Got a Friend' from the Tapestry Album - that album hit the charts when I was a freshman in college (yes, I'm THAT old!) and every time I hear any of the songs on it I'm back in my dorm room with Carole King's voice blaring out the windows onto the campus!!  Boy, those were the days!

I also used Wednesday's sketch from SCS - changing it up a bit by replacing the 3rd square with a button. I sponged all the edges with Scattered Straw ink.

Thanks for coming by today - we're heading into the weekend - whoo hoo!!  and here in New England we're hoping for some sun after 2 weeks of rain and drizzle!

Stamps: Sweet 'n Sassy - Let Go and Let God

It would be so easy to stamp up a set of these as a thoughtful gift for a friend don't you think? There are 4 other reflective sentiments as well as another a smaller tree in this set.

You can find the complete list of today's participants on the Rubbernecker Blog.

You will want to visit EVERY one of the TALENTED design team participants, for on ONE of their blogs, is a chance to win a $15 Rubbernecker Stamps gift certificate!  Just leave a comment on each blog and you could win!

We Must be Willing to Let Go

This is the first card I'm posting over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog today as part of my Design Team Assignments!    I'd love for you to hop over there and leave a comment on my posting!
I used the twisted easel style for my card today - isn't this cool??!!  It was the Try a New Technique challenge over at Split Coast this week.   Here's the link to the instructions from Laura's Blog:

You start with a piece of card stock 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" that you fold in half.  Then you fold the front of the card over - corner to corner to form the triangle.  Then adhere the rectangle to the front. The scalloped circle is adhered with foam tape and helps keep the easel up.

Here's how it looks folded down - it will go flat and fit in a regular A2 size envelope -  (it just wouldn't stay completely flat without me holding it down!)   It measures 4 1/4" x4 1/4"

I was so pleased with how this came out - I'll definately be making more cards using this fun style!
I used the Split Coast CAS challenge colors - chocolate, sand, baby blue and white.

My stamps are a wonderful new Faith set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Let Go and Let God.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Two Sketches of His Word

I'm finally caught up with my biweekly His Holy Name pages! Somehow the weeks had come and gone and I was suddenly 3 challenges behind! This 6x6 page is for Week 22 and God's attribute of Peace. I chose Isaiah 26:12 to illustrate this attribute.
I used all Amuse designer papers on this page. The ribbon and buttons are Papertrey Ink.
I used Friday's Taylored Expressions sketch for this page

Ink: none
Accessories: glue dots, foam dimensionals, modern label punch - SU, circle punches, square nestability, spring rain saddle stitched ribbon and Vintage buttons - PTI

And here is my 6x6 page for Week 21 of the His Holy Name Challenges. God's attribute for this week was Sanctifies. I chose this verse from John 17:17 to illustrate this attribute.

I used the MojoMonday sketch for my page. The papers are all Basic Grey Bittersweet. You can find the His Holy Name Challenges here in the forums on Split Coast.

Simply Christmas & The Bread of Life

I made these Christmas cards for the October Papertrey Guest Stamper challenge to make a Clean and Simple Holiday card.

This card is simply a panel of card stock, a 2/3rd's panel of designer paper, a ribbon tied along the edge with the sentiment stamped directly on the cardstock - accented with one dew drop and corners rounded!

Stamps: Signature Christmas: PTI
Paper: White, Scarlet Jewel, Holiday Cheer: PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Dew drop, glue dot, Scarlet Jewell extra fine polka dot satin ribbon- PTI, corner rounder.

And here is a no layer card where I just stamped the damask and greeting right on the cardstock. I accented the damask with a few gems and outlined the card with a black Micron pen!

It would be easy to make lot's of these cards in no time at all!
Stamps: Damask Designs, Signature Christmas - PTI
Paper: New Leaf - PTI
Ink: Enchanted evening - PTI
Accessories: Rhinestones - PTI, corner rounder, black micron pen

I made this 6x6 page for Week 20 of the His Holy Name Challenges on Split Coast - God's attribute for this week was Bread of Life. I chose John 6:35 to illustrate this attribute that I printed on the computer and cut with the Labels Three Nestability. I used the MojoMonday sketch from last week. I liked the earthiness of the Cosmo Cricket papers and chipboard pieces and thought they accented the idea of Jesus being one of the basic things in life we need to survive.

Stamps: none
Paper: vintage cream, dark chocolate - PTI, DP - Cosmo Cricket Earth Love/reuse
Ink: none
Accessories: computer generated verse, oval punch, window frame punch - SU, cosmo cricket ready set chip/Earth love, Alpine ribbon - SU, Nestabilities Labels Three

Sometimes Prayer is the Only Gift We Can Give

A quick Note! They have extended the deadline to sign up for the Stamping Around Weekend in Farmington CT - so if you want to get in on this super fun stamping weekend see more info and sign up here!

I made this little book of Bible Verses to give to an Interim Assistant Pastor who is leaving our church this Sunday. During his year with us he ran a weekly Bible Study group that I particpated in. I wanted to give him something to remind him of our spiritual time together - so I found verses about prayer as well as discerning God's path for us. He is semi retiring and looking for a part time pastor position in VA where his family is from so he really doesn't know what will happen next for him and his wife.

Phillippians 1:25 Romans 12:2 (click on pic to see larger)

2 Corinthians 1:11 Psalm 16:8-9

James 5:16 Psalm 139: 3, 5-7, 9-10

Psalm 119:2 Psalm 32:8

And this is a picture of our church (that my father drew for the church many years ago so it's really special to me) that I put on the last page so Fr. Charles will remember his time with us whenever he takes out this little book.

I cut out the pages from cardboard with the Top Note die from Stampin Up - then cut out pieces of designer paper with the same die and attached it to all of the cardboard pages - front and back. The verses are computer generated and printed onto Vintage Cream. I cut them out and attached them over the designer paper. I punched holes in the top left corner of each page with my Crop a Dile and put a silver chain through the holes. You could add flowers or other accessories to each page as well as the cover - but I wanted the verses to be the focus so I left it all plain. I think the designer paper has enough color and design on it to make it nice to look at. The cover stamp is by The Stamp Pad Co and I used Labels One Nestabilities to frame it.
I'm teaching two classes at the Paper Tree in Manchester, NH Saturday - and Sunday we're having the farewell party for Fr. Charles and his wife Debbie - then I have an 8 year old's birthday party to attend - so I may not be back until Monday unless I can slip in a little stamping time! Have a super weekend everyone - and thanks so much for stopping by -
remember to check out Stamping Around if you are in the Connecticut/New England area!

Stamps: The Stamp Pad Co.
Paper: PTI: vintage cream,
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: SU: Top Note Die, Tandy Leather: chain, Crop a Dile, Nestabilities: Labels One, computer generated verses.

A Beautiful Mojo & Stamp New England CT deadline!

I made this card for the color challenge on Split Coast and used the mojoMonday sketch for the design but turned it on it's side to accomodate my sentiment which is from Unity Stamps. I finally caved and bought the Martha Stewart 3 butterfly punch and you can see the three of them fluttering on my card here! The edge on the sentiment panel is an EK success punch - diamond lace. I just punched it once in the center of the panel and it came out like this - kind of kool!!

What I time I had getting this card loaded - I took the picture and then when I went to download it onto my computer - the camera couldn't read the disk (this has happened several times over the last few weeks but it always read it again after fiddling with it a bit). But today - no go. Luckily, my DH just bought a new camera for himself - so I hastily loaded the software for it onto my computer - figured out how to take a picture with the camera - and got it loaded! phew - sometimes I just hate technology!! I don't want to have to learn how to use it - I just want it to do what I want it to do automatically - are you with me on this?!?!?

Just a reminder! if you want to go to the Stamp New England Workshop in Farmingon, CT on July 10th & 11th - you need to sign up by Tues 6/23 so hop on over and check it out today!! See my side bar for the link. I hope to see you there!!! Don't miss out on this fun gathering!! to see the fun we had in March look here

It is He who will save us. Isaiah 33:22

I'm a lesson behind on Patter's His Holy Name challenges - but I'm catching up with this 6x6 page for Lesson 10 - God's attribute was LORD.
I chose this wonderful verse from Isaiah where we learn that God is pretty much it - our judge, our lawgiver and our king - and in exchange for accepting all that - it is he who will save us. I say let's go for that deal!
I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch for the design of my page. The crown is grunge board by Tim Holtz that I colored with a copic and then went over with a gold Spica pen for shimmer (IRL it really sparkles!). The verse is computer generated.

This also covers last Tuesdays Double Dog Dare that I do with some SCS friends. Michelle (sf9erfan) was the hostess and her challenge was a 1,2,3 one - we were to use 1)a metal embellishment, 2) a ribbon and 3) sponging. We'd love to have you join in on our DDC challenges - just put DDC in the keywords when you load your card on split coast. You can see all the DDC challenge cards here.
Stamps: Karen Foster Snap Stamps (no longer available)
Paper: white: PTI, Basic Black: SU, DP Basic Grey - Marakech/Sencha
Ink: memento tuxedo black, Pacific Point - SU
Accessories: glue dots, brass circle: from an antique shop, black lace, metal frame: SU, rectangle nestabilities, grungeboard crown: Tim Holtz, spica gold pen, Copic Y38, computer generated verse, blue foil trim- Unknown RAK from One4 Joy, rhinestone stickers: Michael
I also wanted to share a couple of pictures with you today - Sunday we had a beautiful warm sunny day - but towards early evening the sky darkened and we had a brief thunder storm - suddenly the sun was shining brightly even though it was still raining heavily and I just knew there would be a rainbow in the sky. I grabbed my camera (and umbrella!) and ran around the house looking for it and there it was - a double rainbow over my neighbors house. Can you see the hazy 2nd one above the flag?

And these giant bearded Iris beauties are blooming profusely in my garden right now - each stem has so many blossoms on it that they are bending down to the ground. So I cut a bunch and have them in vases around the house - they have the most delicious soft scent! This is one blossom!
And - I'd like to alert you to a super sale going on at H&M Stamps - Heather is selling all her stamp sets for $8 or less per set for the month of June! That is a super deal in these hard economic times! So hurry over and check them out - while supplies last! If you'd like some ideas - you can see cards I've made with H&M Stamps here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Everything Beautiful

Mercy (mkstampin74) was the featured stamper on Split Coast this week - I've been in her gallery alot and it was difficult to chose just one card! I finally decided on this pretty card to CASE. I changed the colors and the stamp used and framed my verse with nestabilities - but other than that it's pretty much the same - I love how she used the top note on her card.

I just love the new Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday papers - this one I used with the Top Note die is called Wednesday. The Bible verse is a stamp from the Scripture Collection I from Our Daily Bread.

I've been really busy this week preparing materials for two classes I'm teaching at The Papertree in Manchester, NH this Saturday so I haven't been posting much! Never enough hours in the day for all I want to do!!

Stamps: Our Daily Bread: Scripture Collection I
Paper: YoYo Yellow: SU, Ocean tides, PTI, DP Cosmo cricket girl friday/wednesday, My Minds Eye Bloom Grow/lots of dots

Isaiah 44:6 God's Attribute - Redeemer

This is a 6x6 page that I created for Week 9 of Patter's His Holy Name Challenges on Split Coast - God's attribute for week 9 is Redeemer. We are to look in the Bible for a verse that is meaningful to us that has 'Redeemer' in it. This verse from Isaiah spoke to me about this attribute - "This is what the Lord says - Israels King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God ". Pretty powerful stuff isn't it?!

I used this weeks OCC sketch for the design of my page. I turned it on it's side to accomodate my verse - and then realized when holding it this way - the two crossing panels make a Cross. How very appropriate! The verse is computer generated - the only stamping on this page is on the two ovals where I used my retired Karen Foster snap stamps for the lesson number and the attribute. You can join in these challenges at any time - check out Patter's post in the forums.

I'm so glad you came by today!

Revelation 7:17

Gosh - I'm posting so late (again!). I worked all day and then had Bible study until 8 pm - but really wanted to get my His Holy Name challenge done tonight. I used the Split Coast sketch for my 6x6 page although I turned it on it's side and moved up the front panel a bit to accomodate my verse. This is week 8 of the His Holy Name Challenge and God's attribute was LAMB.

I used my new Green Tea Leaf designer paper's from Papertrey Ink as well as some brass ornaments (flowers, ladybug and scrolly) and a cross that I picked up last summer at the Brimfield Antiques Fair. The lamb is from the My Punny Valentine Set by PTI.

I really love the part of this verse 'and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes' - John is speaking about you and me here. What a wonderful promise for us!

You can join in on the His Holy Name challenge at any time - so check it out if the idea is interesting to you - Patter gives us her challenge every other Sunday. There's no deadline for getting any of them done. You just go at your own pace and you don't have to do every challenge.

I've got 3 really busy days coming up so don't panic if you don't see another post here until the end of the weekend - I'm having my hair cut tomorrow night, then DH and I are going to a play on Friday night - and then I am teaching two classes at the Papertree in Manchester NH on Saturday! If you are in the NH area - come by and say hello - Michelle has an absolutely wonderful stamping store there!!

As always - thanks for coming by!

It's Within You

I combined 3 challenges in this project - the sketch challenge on Split Coast - making my 6x6 page for the 7th His Holy Name challenge using God's attribute of 'King', as well as the Ways to Use it Challenge - to use a label on your project (the verse is printed on an Avery Label).

I took a little liberty with the sketch - making it a square rather than a rectangle and adding the verse panel on the bottom. The gold and red foil strips are a RAK (random act of kindness!) from Susan (One4Joy) (thank you dear friend!)

I chose a verse from Luke using the word Kingdom rather than King - but it spoke so powerfully to me when I found it I just had to use it. I also felt this girls face was the perfect image to illustrate the verse as soon as I saw it. I received this stamp (by Inovative Creations) in a set that I won as a door prize at the Stamp New England Weekend that I recently attended.

It's wonderful when a project falls together just the way you envisioned it - that's what happened for me with this Holy Name Page.

You can join along in the His Holy Name challenges at any time - check out all of Patter's info on Split Coast here. Or click on the blinky on my sidebar to get to her blog. Patter gives us a new attribute every other Sunday. You can see all of the Holy Name creations in the HHN09 Split Coast gallery here.

I appreciate your stopping by my blog today! Leave me a comment so I can come visit you too!

Eat Your Veggies and Let the Earth Rejoice!

I have been so busy this weekend - I really just want to go to bed!!! I taught 2 classes at The Papertree in Manchester, NH yesterday (hi guys!!!) then 2 friends and I taught our monthly stamping class at our church today. But on I stamp!! (you know howthat goes right??!!)

So - I'm multi-challenging again - I'm behind on the last two weekly Doubledog Dare Challenges that I do with a group of friends on Split Coast - so I scoured Just PaintingAround - Featured Stamper Michelle's gallery to see if there was something that would fit!

And I found this tag card. I changed the colors and stamps used - but kept her fun design.

And I incorporated Charlene's (LilLuvsStampin) Double dare challenge to make a tag and use green on it - and Michelle's (sf9erfan) 1-2-3 challenge - to use 1 designer paper, 2 ribbons, 3 brads.

So here we are with an 'Eat Your Veggies' tag. These fun stamps are from a new company called Two Scoops Rice Designs.

We'd love to have you play along with our Doubledog challenges - just post your card on Split Coast using the Keyword DDC. You can see all the Doubledog challenge cards here.

I've combined 4 challenges in this card (don't you just love when you can work that out!?!?!) The Limited supply challenge on Split Coast this week was to use just black & white (silver is ok too).

I used Taylors Sketch and I used ribbon tabs and mixed stripe and pattern designer paper which are the last two of Sharon's stamp simply challenges .

My stamp is from a Verve Visual set called Everlasting Life and my designer papers and ribbons are Papertrey Ink. I used the Cuttlebug Textile folder for the background panel to give it a little depth although you can't see it too well on my photo. The pretty silver fiber is called cloisonne thread and came from my dear MIL's sewing box that I was lucky enough to receive when she moved into assisted living (she's 93 and still plays scrabble on the computer!).

Thank you for stopping by today! Now onto making some Easter crafts!!

The Almighty and a Friend

I finally got to making my 6x6 page for Challenge 6 of Patter's His Holy Name Challenge The attribute of God this week is ALMIGHTY.I seem to gravitate towards the verses that speak about God as the creator and ruler of our world - and I chose Amos 4:13 to illustrate Almighty. These verses bring a vibrant picture to mind which makes it easier for me to make a card depicting it.

My scene this week is a little whimsical using the fun Doodle Factory country background stamp - I paper pieced the moutains and fields - the 'snow' capped mountains and clouds are puffed with liquid applique. The sun, butterfly, flower and almighty tag are all up on foam dimensionals. I made the black borders using an EK Success scalloped punch.

Stamps: Starving Artists Doodle Factory Background stamp, Karen Foster Snap Stamps
Paper: Aqua Mist & Bitty Dots Basics: PTI, Green DP: SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black: Tsukeniko, Aqua Mist: PTI
Accessories: EK success scallop punch, liquid applique, martha stewart butterfly & flower punches, copics, word window punch: SU, avery label, computer generated verse, gem stones: Hero Arts, foam dimensionals

My next card was for the Clean and Simple challenge on Split Coast - to use punches but keep everything to a minimum leaving lots of open space.I used the flower and fern Martha Stewart punches, a vintage button from Papertrey Ink, one stamp from the Friends till the End Papertrey Ink set and a Hero Arts gem!

Ok - I'm off to bed - trying to catch up on some sleep after a busy weekend!

Stamps: Papertrey Ink : Friends till the end

Ink: Ripe Avocado: PTI
Accessories: vintage button: PTI, Martha Stewart bakers thread, Flower punch and fern punch

He Who Created the Heavens

This is my 6x6 page that I made for the 5th His Holy Name Challenge - this past week God's Attribute was Creator. You can see Patter's challenges in the forums on Split Coast hereThe Challenge is to find a passage in the Bible that uses the given attribute of God (Creator this time) I found several passages that spoke to me and thought about them during the week to try and figure out which verse I would use on my page.

I finally decided on this one from Isaiah describing how God made the heavens and the earth and didn't want it to be empty but rather full of his animal and human creations! I thought the Basic Grey Mr. Campy paper, rub-ons and stickers were perfect to illustrate this verse.

You can join the challenge at any time - maybe the idea of them is speaking to you today??? You can also find a link to Patter's blog in the right hand column - click on the blinky that says His Holy Name Challenges. You can see the Split Coast gallery with all the challenge projects here.

The Crown of Righteousness

This is my 6x6 page for Patter's His Holy Name challenge for week 4: His Name - Righteous

When I look for a meaningful passage using the name given us - I also look for one that gives me a visual image that I can portray on my page to emphasize the passage - in this case the crown. And what a wonderful thing to know that the righteous God will award me - and you! - on the final day - as long as we believe.

The crown stamp on the designer paper and cute crowned frog in the corner are from 2 different H&M Stamp sets.

I found the big crown in the clip art on Microsoft Word and the sentiment was printed on my computer. I used stickles and gems to add sparkle.

Come join us on this spiritual journey! You can find the thread in the forum on Split Coast as well as a His Holy Name link on my side bar. You can see all the pages I have created so far for these challenges here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

A Valentine, Sovereign God and Some Pics of VT

Sorry that I didn't post yesterday - we ended up having about 8" of new snow and I had to help DH shovel us out! I'm so glad it waited until we were home from VT - I would have hated to come home to a driveway full of snow and had to unpack through it!!

And then there were those two football games on when we were done shoveling...........

But I did make a card for the Featured Stamper on Split Coast. I CASE'd this card of Lori's (stamp_momma)

I changed the colors and made it a Valentine card with Heart Nesties instead of squares. I just placed the basic heart Nestability inside the scalloped heart Nestability and ran them through my Cuttlebug together and it gave me this heart frame - plus I can use the inside plain heart piece that punched out on something else later! Following the instructions on her card - I was so excited to learn how to use the small Nestibility bird for the wings on the middle size bird on this card! You just have to snip off the beak on the front "wing" - now why couldn't I think of that???!!!

Stamps: none
Paper: White: PTI and SU, Real Red: SU, DP unknown (DCWV stack?)
Ink: none
Accessories: Martha Stewart Punch, dotted grosgrain, foam dimensionals, Nested birds and Hearts: Nestabilities

The next thing I have to show you today is my 6"x6" page that I made for the 2nd His Holy Name Challenge which is issued every other Sunday by Patter. You can click on the blinking box on my side bar to get to Patter's blog or you can also see the challenge in the forums on SCS just scroll down to comment #350. I'd love to have you join in on the challenges - you can join in any time and only do as many as you like.

God's Attribute this week is: God is Sovereign. I chose this verse from Isaiah 61:11
"For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the SOVEREIGN LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations."

I liked the analogy of things growing out of God's earth - and humans growing out of God's love.I used this great Urban Prairie designer paper by Basic Grey along with a leaf Sizzix die and layered flowers using a Martha Stewart flower punch. The bird is also from Martha Stewart. I typed the verse on my computer useing 3hourtour and CK fraternity fonts and printed it on an Avery Mailing label #8463.

And finally as promised - here are a few pics from our trip to Vermont this week visiting my DH's brother and sister-in-law.
This is the beautiful diningroom/livingroom in their gorgeous post and beam home.
Here I am on our first day snowshoeing in the woods - with my neck all wrapped up in my Head Sokz (a tube thing made of fleece that is a scarf and hood you can pull up if you need it!). It was about 4 above on this day out. And you can see not much sun getting into the woods here!

This is DH Kent at the edge of the woods when we just started out - standing by the sign of 'his' brook! That's his brother ahead waiting to lead the way!

This is Kent's SIL bringing up the rear with trusty dog Blue - who loves to run through the woods and snow - she calls Blue back to the trail by offering treats of cheese. Blue wears a bell to let any wild animals know she's around.

And here are some wild turkeys that came by their birdfeeders looking for a meal on a cold day!

We got some delicious coffee drinks as well as some home made cookies and muffins at this wonderful bakery down the street from them.

And a final shot of the old bicycle they have on their porch - it's lit with white lights at night.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
