12 Days of Christmas Betty Style - Day 6

Good morning, all you little Christmas elves!  How are your Christmas plans and shopping marathons going?  We are slowly but surely getting there.  I have a bit of the bahumbugs this year.  :O(

On to something a bit more upbeat and fun...we have arrived at Day 6 on our journey through the 12 Days of Christmas at Simply Betty Challenges!   Betty has come up with a great challenge for us all this time...

The Children all snug in their beds, while visions of Steampunks danced in their heads!

So, you know what's next, right? Create your most Merry Steampunk project!

I have used Annie from our Steampunk Gang line for my card.   I am super excited about this card as I tried a new technique.  I printed her out on kraft card stock and colored her with my Prismacolor pencils.  How cool is that?  I am quite tickled!  I have another image all colored up using this technique too...a snowman even!  I'll share that in a little while.  I even picked up some Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears for this card!  I used the latest and greatest sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge too.  :O)  What do you think?

Check out the rest of the fabulousness on the Simply Betty Challenges...the girls have really outdone themselves!  While you're there get all the deets for this challenge and see what prize is up for grabs too!

Merry and Bright!

Good morning everyone!  Happy Monday to you!  I hope you had a great weekend.

Yesterday I saw so many challenges I wanted to play along with, so I busted out my Rio Trimming the Tree digi from Simply Betty Stamps.  Part of her has been paper pieced and the rest was colored with Copics.  I made the circle/snowflake paper to make sure I had all the colors on my card that I needed.  Her skirt and bandana are paper pieced in the plaid paper.  I also used nesties, Tim Holtz distress ink in Dried Marigold, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, rhinestone from Michael's, glitter glass from e-Bay seller, pop dots.  I really wish I could learn how to get a good picture of that glitter glass...it is SO sparkly IRL!

Christmas Emos Preview Day 2

Good morning, party people!  I have some UBER EXCITING news to share with you!  I have been asked to be a Guest Design Team Member for Simply Betty Stamps!  SQUEEEE!  When I got the e-mail from Betty my mouth dropped open and I just stared for a split second...then the dancing started!  :O)

Anywho, I was all over jumping in to help preview the new Emo kids Christmas line.  Today I used Candy Cane London for my project.  What a fun image to color!  I used Copics, CM personal cutting system, DP and card stock from stash, image was printed on Neenah classic linen, rhinestones from Q&Co, Spica glitter marker, Stickles and CTMH Liquid Glass.  I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #91.

I hope you enjoyed today's preview as much as I enjoyed sharing it!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Christmas Emo's Blog Hop!

Seriously...What?

Good morning bleeps!  It's time for another Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack.  Today I used one of Brian Lock's fabu images and made him all about Halloween.  Not typical, but everyone at my house got a belly laugh out of it.  I really thought I was using a current Sweet Sunday Sketch, after all, I just saw it this past weekend and saved it.  Come to find out it's one of the first sketches...posted back in May!  LOL!  Oh well!

Have a great day!

Rock 'n Roll Pug!

No, this pug doesn't rock...though he might roll!  Good morning everyone!  I hope you're all doing well today.

I'm sharing a couple of cards with you today.  The first one features Puggles from Wink Wink Ink.  {They are having a Design Team Call right now!  Click HERE for the deets!}I used the pre-colored version for my card...each digital stamp from WWI comes with a colored version and and a B&W image!  I printed the quote onto my kraft card stock and cut it to size.  I added the flourishes with a CTMH stamp and Marcasite Embossing Powder from Stampendous.  I printed 2 images of this very enthusiastic pug.  I cut out the head from one and raised it up on pop dots to add some extra dimension to the card.  I added some Liquid Glass to his eyes, nose and tongue too.  What do you think of this super simple card?

Next up is a card using one of my favorite images...Metal Babe by KennyK Downloads.  This is for their current challenge of Music on Kenny K's Krafty Girlz.  I used the sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge too.  I added some CTMH Liquid Glass to her pants to make them look like leather.  I DO NOT color black hair very well...I'm beginning to think I never will.  LOL!  I still think this card is awesome!  What say you?
