Hello to the 100th Color Throwdown!!

Can you believe there have been 100 Color Throwdown Challenges???! Me neither!

Well, to celebrate their 100th challenge they are having lots of prizes from lots of sponsors!!

Mark's Finest Papers is one of the sponsors and since I'm on Speedys' Friends DT I thought I'd join in the festivities! You will find the challenge and all the deets here.

The colors are rose, celery, red and blue. I water colored the holyhock, pierced the corners and drew dots around the edge of the card with my Micron 01 black pen. I sponged the edges with distress inks.

All the supplies for my card are available at Marks Finest Papers. The stamp set is Pears & Holyhocks.

See my post below for my 2nd card for the Color Throwdown!

2nd Card for 100th Color Throwdown Challenge!

I'm also on the Design team for Rubbernecker stamps, another company sponsoring the Color Throwdown Challenge!

So I made a 2nd card for the color challenge using Rubbernecker stamps.

I stamped the vintage skyline image, cut it with a Labels 10 nestability and then sponged it with blue, green and pink while it was still in the nestie. I distressed the edges of the designer paper and sponged all the edges with Ranger Tea Dye distress ink.

So hop on over to the Color Throwdown Blog for all the deets and join in! - there are lots of prizes to be won!!

Ever Grateful Throw Down

For my card today I used the sketch challenge from Split Coast and the colors from this weeks Color throw down challenge - which was to use real red, brocade blue and black. I've been wanting to participate in the Color Throw Down challenge for a long time and for some reason just never got to it - so today was the day - finally!!I used a Bazzill blue as I didn't have Brocade. The flowers are Nested Flowers Nestabilities and I added dew drops on the bottom right. The flowers and sentiment are popped up with foam dimensionals.

We had some snow this morning but it turned to rain by noon time - and now we have slush and giant puddles everywhere - and it's supposed to freeze tonight --- what a winter we are having!

I hope everyone that is living in a cold climate is safe and warm tonight!

Thank you so much for taking a moment to drop by!
